It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
A Very Sunny Christmas
Warm hearts, cold truths and a stop-motion fantasy that goes very wrong.
- American
- On the dark side
Content note: Uncensored adult comedy: strong language, a brief bloody stop-motion sequence and some very bleak jokes about childhood. Definitely not for Nan.

The gang's Christmas is as warm and welcoming as a pub car park in December. Mac and Charlie's festive cheer curdles when they learn the truth about their childhood Christmases, while Dennis and Dee scheme against Frank. Somewhere in the mess, the story takes a detour into a gloriously twisted stop-motion fantasy that cheerfully parodies those cosy children's specials we grew up on. It is a long way from Only Fools and Horses on Christmas Day, but it has the same unforgiving eye for people behaving badly in a festive mood. Adult, filthy and oddly beloved. A very American tradition for viewers who like their tinsel with teeth.
