Only Fools and Horses

Peckham gets a comic-book makeover in this Christmas Day 1996 special. The council has turned down Del's grant, a crate of Latvian radio alarm clocks goes off whenever it fancies, and Rodney has had a nightmare about a grown-up Damien running the country. With Cassandra away in Spain, the brothers end up sprinting through the streets dressed as Batman and Robin, with a gang of muggers, a councillor and a party that is not what it seems waiting at the other end. It is silly, warm and quick on its feet, and the first of three specials that wrapped up the Trotter story, so it opens a marathon beautifully.
