It is Christmas Eve in Royston Vasey, and the town's vicar has three parishioners with three sinister stories to tell. There's a husband whose evening goes horribly wrong, a school trip with a German teacher who may be a vampire, and a doctor with a curse on his family. Then Papa Lazarou turns up dressed as Santa, and the festive spirit takes a turn for the nightmarish. Gleefully macabre and cleverly structured, this is the League of Gentlemen at their most Christmas-ghost-story. Definitely not one for the little ones.
