The Royle Family

Jim and Barbara have a special occasion coming up, and the kids have chipped in with a gift of money. Barbara fancies going abroad, having managed only one honeymoon in Ormskirk, while Jim is quietly eyeing up a new HD satellite box. Next door, poor Mary has troubles of her own and cannot make the celebration. The argument over where the money should go turns into a proper family debate, with a very Royle idea of paradise on the table. It is a funny, affectionate hour that sneaks up on you with real feeling before the credits.
