Geraldine Granger has two things on her plate on Christmas Day: a sermon good enough to keep the whole congregation awake, and a promise to eat three separate Christmas dinners. The Dibley parish council has noticed her enthusiasm for food, and the villagers have clearly noticed her inability to say no. Dawn French is at her best as the vicar with the biggest appetite in the diocese, and the village regulars bring the affectionate silliness this sitcom does so well. A warm, gentle one to enjoy once the turkey is in the oven, or already eaten.
